The overall goal of this the multi-departmental multi-school Systems and Integrative Biology training program is to provide training, resources, and practical experiences to prepare outstanding predoctoral trainees in biomedical sciences for careers in Systems and Integrative Biology (SIB) research. The program is designed to synergize with partnering PhD programs to create and nurture multiple diverse ways for trainees to increase their engagement in applying systems and integrative methods in their research. Building on our faculty mentors’ track records in helping trainees to build practical fluency in integrative systems research, as well as on formal coursework and workshops in quantitative methods, the program is designed to remain flexible while maintaining rigor in guiding trainees in attaining and demonstrating relevant multidisciplinary research skills.
